In the world of time and attendance, the outlier results of employees not complying with the expected outcome of their shift are known as exceptions e.g. forgetting to clock, being absent. Jarrison Time has the capability of identifying exceptions to make them easier to resolve. The system can identify any of the following types of clocking results that need user intervention:
- Missing Clockings
- Absence
- Short time
- Unpaired Clockings
- Multiple Clockings
- ‘Out’ as first clocking
- Route Exceptions
- Missing Job Clockings
- Non Scheduled Work
- JT Clock Out of area
To see the Exceptions listing in Jarrison Time, it can be located under View on the menu, or the icon on the toolbar can be clicked.

A window similar to the below will display. Note that by default the window always opens with Limit to first 50 applied, meaning if you’d like to see a full list the option should be unticked.

If you’d like to work only one type of exception, you can select one from the dropdown list on the upper left. This list’s options are configurable from System Configuration.
Then check you have a suitable Date Range selected, and Refresh if necessary.
Double-click on an entry to bring up the Daily Details for that day, so that a corrective action can be applied. Once an exception is resolved, it will no longer appear on the list (Refresh to update).
